Q: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then “broke up” with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

I would have to say in my most honest opinion Daniel Grigori, I bet everyone gasps and says "NONONONONONONONONO!" And if I had read that when I had only read Fallen I would have said that! But I feel in Torment Daniel changes from this loving amazing guy to touchy never telling her anything, they have arguments and he is being an absolute idiot! I even started to like this other guy more, aswell I relaised with Luce how he ruined the lives of people she loved in her past lives just because he deiceded to fall in love with her I felt it was so unfair! At the moment I haven't read Passion so I don't know if he changes in that! I hope he does!

Carrie Review

The girls giggled and Carrie looked up, her eyes slow and dazed from the hear and the steady, pounding roar of the water. "Ohuh?" It wasn't until she stepped out they saw the blood on her leg...

I have to say if I read that extract I would have been drawn straight in... But I'm not saying it wasn't a good book it was. But it's not my cup of tea :) and usually I like horrors but I wouldn't put this as a horror more a physiological book. It was actually quite sad especially at the end... I still don't understand how people can be so cruel to her? Is there no compassion!?

Carrie White was thought an ordinary girl, plain, boring, nothing special. She was always the slow one, the one that always got picked on. Until one night, a night when the joke is on them. Prom night is supposed to be a special night people might just dyeing to go...

So their isn't a lot more to say about the book! I just feel sorry for Carrie as her mothers a religious physco and she Carrie was trying to change..

Torment Review

 

Daniel stared out at the bay. His eyes were as gray as the thick fog enveloping the Sausalito shoreline, as the choppy water lapping the pebble beach beneath his feet. There was no violet to his eyes now at all; he could feel it. She was too far away...

I just finished Torment and I want to run all the way to my nearest book store which is around 20 miles away and buy Passion! Torment was that good, I feel it was even better than Fallen which I found a bit slow going...

Luce arrives in California at Shoreline a school for gifted Nephilliam kids the offspring of fallen angels and humans. Luce knows she's at Shoreline for a reason, but what? How can she figure out her past, maybe the mysterious shadows that Luce has always been afraid of could they hold all the answers she needs? And are her and Daniel meant to be together or is their someone else...

Sounds good right! Well theirs more to it than meets the eye.. Now I'll try not to put spoilers in but If you haven't read this book read these bits with caution...
The other guy that's innuendod isn't Cam it's another boy Luce meet at Shoreline and to be perfectly honest I think Luce is better off with him because near the middle of the book Luce discovers all the hurt that Daniel has caused her family in past lives.

One of my favourite characters in this is probably Shelby one of Luce's new friends as she helps Luce on her quest to find out more about herself and how she meet Daniel. One of the best parts of this book is the ending... So go read it! :)

Q: Fight! Fight! If you could have two fictional characters battle it out (preferably from books), who would they be and who do you think would win?

I think I would choose Stevie Rae Johnson  from The House Of Night because she is one of my favourite characters and really touched my heart as soon as I read her and besides her power is amazing she can control the earth and she will fight... Arriane Alter a fallen angel from the series Fallen Arriane struck me at first as a bit of a spoilt brat who thinks she knows everything but when you get to know her you realise she is actually quite nice and interesting her powers are well she's a fallen angel! and has wings!

Hazal And Tam's Big Book Review; Week 4

Sadly I have read very few historical books. So I have to admit Historical was Hazal's idea. The only historical book that sits in my memory are the My Story series. They are basically diaries of people who lived in different historical periods or something has happened e.g world war 1, titanic, tudors etc...

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

I would say a lot of books as some of them are just so imaginative and too out of this world that a film would make it look so unrealistic and rubbish. But one movie really, really annoyed me The Spiderwick Chronicles amazing books full of fairies, and creatures and they ruined it for me anyway, they missed out a few books and it was too actiony to be anywhere near the precision of the book.

One book though a recent read; Matched. I think if they made a film of it they would ruin it because Ally Condie has made a book so beautiful and thought provoking. The description is amazing and a film would ruin all the amazing images you had in your head.

Okay so everyone should know the meme The Book Boyfriend By Missie at the Unread Reader? Well if you don't you should. But it got me thinking I really want to do girls! With stats, pictures, quotes etc... so I started doing it a little on my page- House Of Night but I thought I want my own Meme so I decieded to do one...

It's called My Book Hero Crush because you can have a crush on awesome book girl characters aswell except its more of a hero crush you look up to them and admire them. So first off this will be my own Meme but if you all like it I might make it public!

Swapped By A Kiss

Sorry everyone! Have been away on holiday, yay! So I just got back and decided to review this book just for you...

Swapped By A Kiss is the sequel to the brilliant Split By A Kiss so I thought that this book would be as good as the first. I'm not saying it wasn't, but it was a bit samey like Rachel & Jo/Josie were the same person rather than two different people.

The story mostly follows Rachel, It all starts when Rachel and David (her boyfriend) have a big argument then he goes to England to this new festival- Enchantment. But then she see's him kiss their best friend Jo she suddenly wants to be Jo. Then she wakes up and is Jo. But what about Jo? Is she in Rachel's body, but why ever would she want to be Rachel?

I like the storyline as its about choices and learning what you did wrong and how to do better and accept things. It's definitely a good read and a sequel but to be fair it doesn't suprise and shock.

I know I it's not friday! Arghhh! but I thought I have to do this so now or never!

Question: Do you read one book at a time or do you switch back and forth between two or more?

Usually I'm a normal person and read 1 book at a day. Only sometimes I need to rebel! I know I'm such a rebel, haha. I used to get some books from the libary and read a little bit, put it down read a little bit put it down and I it was usually 12 books! Yes I read 12 books at the same time and I'm proud! At the moment I'm reading 2 books at a time 'Wicked Lovley' and 'Swapped By A Kiss'

Yes it's the 2nd week of Hazal And Tam's Big Book Review, WOOOOOOOO! Fiction and Non-fiction so kind of every book you can review!

I got this ages ago (on Amazon) when I had an absolute OBSESSION with fashion! I still love fashion and do sometimes dream of being a model (only dreams!) I got interested in fashion thanks to Threads it ignites your love of fashion... But we arn't here to talk about Threads so here's the review...

I really enjoyed this book I tried to read as much as I could but usually so much info on a page bores me I really a fiction girl so usually I don't go for non-fiction unless it helps me to do something like this I still feel it's a good book if your interested  in breaking into the fashion industry as a model, photographer, editor, journalist etc...

It answers lots of different questions and gives you lots of information on designers and how they made and bits and pieces like that! So get reviewing and link up down here!
