My Book Boyfriend (2)

Hey! Here's my second book boyfriend and I have a feeling this choice will be even better...! For my book boyfriend I have chosen the mysterious,  and very handsome Daniel Grigori! I have fallen in love with him as soon as I read fallen he's is nearly close to perfect!

Daniel Grigori

Stats
  • Golden hair
  • Beautiful grey eyes with violet flecks
  • Kind and sweet
  • Protective over Luce (jealous much?!)
  • Muscles (Yum)
  • Is rumoured to have wings...
Check out these pics, I nearly fainted by the hotness of them...

“I will always catch you when you fall”
"Not so long that I've forgotten that you're worth everything. Every sacrifice. Every pain.”
“I’ll love you with all my heart, in every life, through every death. I
will not be bound by anything but my love for you.”
"I fall in love. Over and over again. And each time, it ends catastrophically. But here is where it gets hard. The person I fall in love with each time is you."

Fallen

Around midnight, her eyes at last took shape. The look in them was feline, half determined and half tentative- all trouble. Yes, they were just right, those eyes. Rising up to her fine, elegant brow, inches from the dark cascade of her hair...

Luce has been sent to Sword & Cross Academy for something she doesn't remember. Then she meets Daniel, she swears she's seen him before but she can't remember where? He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret?

I <3 this book so much! Couldn't put it down! It's amazing I thought how much detail she put in to this book. I felt really sorry for Luce as she sees things that no-one else believes and people think she's crazy because of it, the way she's drawn to Daniel.

The characters I feel were really creative I have to admit my favourite was Penn (Pennyweather) she was just a likeable character and really helped Luce settle in at S & C (sword and cross). I love Daniel, okay I admit it I've fallen in love with him! The description of him made me want to jump in the book push Luce aside and kiss Daniel myself!

I really got into Luce's character I was embarrassed when she was, sad when she was and absolutely shocked when she found out about Daniel, and the dreams she had of him carrying her with beautiful wings, I wish I had been in that dream... *sighs*

Big Book Review; (1) Split By A Kiss

WOOOOOOO! THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME :D

The first review is... Split By A Kiss!

I am in a cupboard, and I'm snogging the coolest and most gorgeous boy in the whole schoool, and it's a big school. And really we're kissing, not snogging. In a closet, not a cupboard. They don't really have snogging or cupboards here...

I love this book so much! Might re-read... But the reason I picked this wasn't just about the Romance theme for our Big Book Review but I just has different kinds of messages like choices, bullying, love doing the right thing etc...

This book is about a teenager called Jo and when her and her mum move to Massachusetts, America she feels she will be leaving her old life behind where she has only one friend and is known as Jo The Nerd. But then when she moves she gets a whole different life in with the popular gang known as Josie The Cool who is dating the most popular guy in her school. But at her first party something happens in the closet with Jake (her new boyfriend) one that makes her split into two different people Jo The Nerd and Josie The Cool, will they ever come back together?

I know right, good huh?! I like how the story splits so it shows the two different lives she takes I've got to admit I do prefer Jo The Nerd as even though she's not popular she still makes good friends  and is basically a nice person. But I still feel sorry for Josie The Cool as she wants to be popular for once in her life.

Remeber to post your Romance review links to Mr Linky at the bottom of the page (means bottom of blog :P)... Remeber you don't have to a review everyday!

Kindle :3

Hey everything, just a little post before; Hazal And Tam's Big Book Review! (there will be a re-post on it!). To tell you how I killed books.... Just joking, I do love books and I'm OBSESSED with them but since I take a lot of books on holiday = a lot of bags so for Christmas my mum bought me a kindle!) at first I was totally against Kindles but then you learn to love them! I still read normal books as there's nothing like smelling, and touching a good book. But for practicality this is for you :)

It has font changes, screen rotation, keypad and WiFi! I definitely like these better than those stupid Kobos -.-
But also the main reason Kindle books are a lot cheaper e.g The Hunger Games in waterstones 7.99 and on Amazon (Kindle) 2.99 ! ( I rest my case!)

A: So far... I haven't read many books over 600+ pages but the longest book I've finished is probaly Ink Heart as that was around 500, but the longest book I've started is Gone With The Wind which is about the civil war :)

Inkheart is about a girl called Meggie who has never heard her farther read aloud, he never has because he's hiding a dark secret because when he reads aloud things come out of the books and their not always good...

The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight

“I can watch it,” says the boy across the aisle, and Hadley looks at him—  really looks at him—  for the first time. His dark hair is a bit too long and there are crumbs down the front of his shirt, but there’s something striking about him, too. Maybe it’s the accent, which she’s pretty sure is British, or the twitch of his mouth as he tries to keep from smiling.

Who knew 4 minutes could change everything? When Hadley misses her plane by four minutes on her way to her dad's wedding, she thinks nothing of it. Until she meets cute Oliver he's british their on the same flight his seat is 18A hers is 18C through a twist of fate and over 24 hours comes this sweet story of finding love in the most un likest of places.

I just have to say how much I <3 this book! Best book I've read in a long time. I love how its written in present tense in 1st person. Its amazing how she put so much detail in the book to last one day. This book doesn't just tackle love problems but also problems like divorce Hadley hating her dad for what he did and hating Charlotte but she starts to realise something.

I start to feel sorry for her dad as I know he cheated but it's not exactly his found he loved someone else, and Oliver was right it's better to be honest and move on to happiness rather than never have been happy and hide it. It's good how throughout the book we're given tit bits of Hadley's childhood.

Also you can't help but love Oliver's quirky and obviously not real things he's studying!

Musing Mondays

Musing Mondays is a Meme Should Be Reading, the question for today is ;

Would you choose to review a book if its description sounded interesting but the cover was terrible?

Knowing me I probably wouldn't be a cover snob just judge by a cover... Usually what pulls me in to buy a book or pick it up is the Title defiantly the most important thing if it's not a good title why would I pick it up? As usually books are on their sides so a Title is the first thing you would see :)

Example ; Bumped might not be a good book but the title, BAM :D !

And another example the Forest Of Hands And Teeth I would have bought the book except for the fact I had no money at the time. But a very memorable Title even though I haven't read the book I remembered the Title from 2 years ago!

The Reformed Vampire Support Group

It's funny; I hate so much about my life. I hate the cramps, and the nausea, and the boredom, and the listlessness. I hate surviving on guinea pigs, and not being able to get a decent haircut. But that night, when it came to choosing between life and death, I didn't hesitate. Not for one second.
I didn't want to end up as a pile of ashes on a bedroom floor.

Think Vampires are powerful, sexy and fierce well think again because these are Vampires like you've never seen before. They always get sick, can't anything and have no super powers to name? Well why would you want to be a Vampire why is it worth living?

In The Reformed Vampire Support Group is about a Vampire called Nina who has a very bad opinion of all Vampires she feels their useless never do anything, good for nothing. Until one day when one of the Vampires in their support group is found staked through the heart they need to find answers, who-dun nit? Taking them all along a journey a group of sickly Vampires could never have imagined. In their hunt for the killer they get caught up with a very sexy werewolf and some very dangerous thugs who would do anything...

I really like this book ever since I got it as a present a few years ago. I really feel it's a good take on the Vampire genre as most are quite un-realistic flying, turning into bats, superpowers! I know it's still Vampires but the sickness adds a touch of reality that their just like normal people who just get sick a lot. I like the different blends of personality's in the group from placid Dave to whining Gladys, angry Sanford and throw in a Priest and their is definitely some arguments worth reading!

I really like the plot as it adds a touch of magic that you can't put the book down. I understand Vampire's aren't to everyone taste but this one I guarantee will make you smile.

Rating: 8/10

Cover Love

This is a Meme by one of my favourite book bloggers it's Hazal @ The Book To My Heart .

The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. She's stuck at JFK, late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon to be step-mother that Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's in seat 18C. Hadley's in 18A.
Twists of fate and quirks of timing play out in this thoughtful novel about family connections, second chances and first loves. Set over a 24-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

I just bought this book today! So here's hoping it's good! I first heard of this book from Hazal's blog as well, but the thing that made me read the review was the cover. Even though the long title makes your head hurt it is portrayed brilliantly by this cover I have no idea what it is but it just draws me in.
